The Government High School, Adeta (GHS ’84 Alumni Set) recently organized its inaugural medical outreach in partnership with the UK-based KK Medical Aids Foundation and the Ilorin Emirate Doctors Group (IEMDG), marking the 40th Anniversary of the Alumni. The event took place to commemorate the milestone and contribute to community health.

The KK Medical Aids Foundation, founded years back by UK Community Nurse Hajia Kuburat Kehinde Issa, is a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving healthcare accessibility and sustainability at the grassroots level. The foundation’s mission is to enhance access to healthcare for vulnerable populations, ensure better health services for the needy, prevent the spread of communicable diseases, and promote preventive healthcare and health education.

“This is the first outreach of its kind conducted by the KK Medical Aids Foundation to support the GHS ’84 Alumni in celebrating their 40th anniversary,” said the founder, Hajia Kehinde, during the event.

Expressing her gratitude, Hajia Kehinde remarked, “Today is a special day for me and my colleagues from the ’85 Set. We thank Almighty God for keeping us alive to witness this day and allowing us to give back to our community. We appreciate everyone who came today to receive our care.”

She further explained that the outreach included basic health checks such as blood sugar testing and blood pressure measurement, with treatments provided for minor conditions. “For any health issues beyond the scope of this outreach, we will refer patients to the appropriate healthcare facilities,” she added.

The founder emphasized that the outreach is a purely voluntary effort with no hidden agendas. “We hope to continue these programs as often as possible, God willing. There is no expectation of anything in return, and this initiative has no political motive,” she clarified.

Hajia Kehinde also extended her thanks to all who contributed to the success of the program, both locally and internationally. She gave special recognition to the Ilorin Emirate Doctors Group for their significant role in organizing and implementing the outreach. “Thank you, and God bless you all,” she concluded.
