15,000 excercise books donated to underprivileged students by Kwara Cashew Factory.
Olam Food Ingredients (OFI) gives back to the community by distributing 15,000 free excercise books to needy students in Ogbondoroko, Asa LGA, as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.
Speaking during the presentation on Tuesday, the factory manager, Alhaji Ajibade Idris, said that education shapes the minds of future leaders and change-makers in every society.
Themed, “Empowering Future Generations through Education: Exercise Book Giveaway”, the event saw free distribution of the exercise books to indigent members of the community.
Alhaji Ajibade explained that the CSR initiative was designed to support and enhance the state government’s efforts in advancing education in the state.
“We are thrilled to announce that our organisation has taken an exciting initiative to educate parents on the importance of sending children to school.
“As part of our social responsibility, we have distributed 15,000 exercise books to students in the community.
“Our organisation believes that early education is crucial in shaping the minds of future leaders in the community and change-makers. By instilling environmentally friendly habits and values in school children”.
Hajia Raliat Salaudeen, Director of Industry at the Kwara State Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Technology, urged OFI workers to prioritize their children’s education, stressing its significance and encouraging them to invest in it within their financial means.
Hajia Salaudeen emphasized that knowledge is power, stating that educated children guarantee a bright future, whereas uneducated ones becomes a burden to society
“Children are our assets. We should do our beat to give sound education to our children because knowledge is power,” she said.
