Ebun Adelesi becomes first female CP in Kwara

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has deployed Ebun Oluwarotimi Adelesi to Kwara State as the new Commissioner of Police.

With her deployment, Adelesi becomes the first female Commissioner of Police in the state.

She will work in collaboration with the state government to strengthen security and fight crimes.

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) runs a gender-inclusive administration.

In his first term, he constituted a female-majority cabinet and appointed women to key political offices in the state.

The governor’s antecedents show that the new female Commissioner of Police will get the required support from the state government to succeed in her role.
