Dangote refinery dismisses marketers’ claim of setting petrol price at #600/litre on August 13. According to Anthony Chiejina, group branding communications officer, IPMAN is not a business partner of Dangote Refinery, and therefore, lacks authority to represent the company.

The statement read, “Our attention has been drawn to headlines announcing “marketers project #600/litre for  petrol” published in Punch newspaper on Tuesday 13, 2024.

“We would like to clarify that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigerian ( IPMAN ) is not our business partner yet.

“We have never discussed price of Premium Motor Spirit  ( PMS ) with them, and they have no mandate or authority to speak for us , either for good or with hidden transcript”.

The public is advised to refrain from making speculative announcements, says Dangote Refinery.

“We have our official channels through which we make our views known to our stakeholders”, the statement read.
