Kwara Central Senator begins four-day Medical Outreach in Ilorin East LGA
The lawmaker representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has flagged off a four-day medical outreach program for rural communities within the Kwara Central Senatorial District.
The outreach, which kicked off today at Oke Oyi main market in the Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State, featured a wide range of healthcare treatments, including those for malaria, typhoid, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, gastroenteritis, peptic ulcer, asthma, diarrhea, and other conditions.
Represented by his legislative aide, Abdulkadir Tunde, Senator Mustapha stated that the outreach aims to improve healthcare access for residents of Kwara Central.
He noted that the program is being organized in collaboration with the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Budo Egba.
The lawmaker also revealed that the outreach will be held at strategic locations across the four local governments that make up Kwara Central.
Senator Mustapha encouraged his constituents to take full advantage of the healthcare services being offered.
Speaking on the exercise, the Baale of Oke Oyi, Alhaji Muhammad Soliu Abdulkadir, commended the lawmaker for prioritizing the well-being of his constituents and prayed to Almighty God to guide and protect him as he continues to serve the people of Kwara Central.
Similarly, a beneficiary, Alhaja Mariam Abdullah, expressed her gratitude to the lawmaker for the program, which she said would help alleviate the medical challenges facing the community.
