Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing the visible impact of the President’s infrastructure policies, especially in Kwara.

Speaking during an inspection of the ongoing 49-kilometre Eiyenkorin–Afon–Ojoku–Offa–Odo-Otin concrete road, the governor described the project as a key outcome of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, saying it reflects that the administration’s policies are delivering tangible results.

“This road is a major achievement, and we must thank President Bola Tinubu for it. It will drastically reduce travel time between Ilorin, Offa, and surrounding communities. When completed, it will take just 30 minutes to get to Offa from Ilorin,” AbdulRazaq said during the inspection on Saturday, August 3, 2025.

The project is being executed by BUA Group under the Federal Government’s tax credit scheme. Governor AbdulRazaq commended both the company and the federal authorities for the quality and speed of work.

“We’re seeing the direct results of sound policy decisions. There is more funding for infrastructure, and people can clearly see progress here in Kwara,” he told reporters. “The quality of work BUA is delivering is first class.”

The governor was accompanied by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Jiddah, and Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Shehu Raheem Adaramaja. Site engineer Abdulsalam Onaolapo briefed the delegation, assuring them the project remains on schedule despite seasonal rainfall.

Governor AbdulRazaq also noted BUA Group’s involvement in other major projects, including the Bode Sadu–Kaiama–Kosubosu road, which he said is progressing well.

“Even during the rainy season, work hasn’t stopped. That’s commendable. Kudos to BUA for their professionalism,” he added.

Reaffirming Kwara’s political alignment with the President, AbdulRazaq said the people of the state are fully behind Tinubu for a second term.

“Who can say no to President Tinubu after seeing all these developmental projects taking place here and across Nigeria?” he asked. “The people of Kwara State are firmly behind the President to continue beyond 2027 so his vision can be fully realized.”

He also pointed to improvements in infrastructure, social protection programs, and security as evidence that the Tinubu administration’s reforms are gaining traction.

In addition to the road inspection, the governor visited the ongoing renovation site of the Primary Healthcare Centre in Okesho, Asa Local Government Area. Earlier in the day, he paid condolence visits to the families of Daudu Ballah and Alhaji Abdulkadir Kawu Yahya, and attended the Fidau prayer for former State Accountant General, Alhaji Suleiman Bayero.
