Bruno Labbadia has reversed his initial stance and declined the offer to coach the Super Eagles of Nigeria, marking a sudden change in his decision, as reported by recent sources.

On Tuesday, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) revealed that Bruno Labbadia, a German national, will be appointed as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.

Reports from Germany now indicate that the 58 years old coach has declined the opportunity to lead the Super Eagles, the three time champions of Africa.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) allegedly didn’t finalize a contract with Bruno Labbadia, a former German striker, prior to making the announcement.

Bruno was originally slated to lead the Super Eagles in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

Austin Eguavoen, the NFF’s technical director, may assume temporary leadership of the Super Eagles for the upcoming matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
