BREAKING: El-Rufai dumps APC for SDP

Former Kaduna State Governor and founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasir El-Rufai, has officially left the ruling party for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

El-Rufai announced his defection in a statement shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, citing a growing misalignment between his personal values and the current direction of the APC.

Expressing disappointment with the party’s leadership, he accused the APC of deviating from the progressive ideals upon which it was founded.
