Kwara gets first medal at Asaba National Youth Games

State has won its first medals at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

The medals came barely twenty four hours after the official opening ceremony of the national contest.

The medals were won by the duo of Gbenga Ayomide and Atanda Hikmat in the 60km and 40km categories of road cycling event.

Both athletes clinched silver medals, raising the hopes of the state’s contingent to the championship.
